Islay Hebrides

Islay is the southern-most island of the Inner Hebrides and is often referred to as Queen of the Hebrides. With an area of 239 sq miles Islay is the second largest island of the Southern Hebrides . Islay’s main industries are farming, fishing, tourism and the whisky industry which, together with its magnificent wildlife, attracts many visitors to the island. We have taken clients to Islay for five years and photographed breeding  Short Eared Owl , Hen Harrier , Corncrake, Otter , Chough , Grasshopper Warbler , Wheater , Wood Warbler , Whinchat , Eider , Artic Tern , plus many waders in Summer plumage . We include accomodation for four nights and all food and drinks on this full five day tour .. The tour will include some hide work and photography from a vehicle plus a few average treks ..The days are long as the summer days can be light for 18 hours so we normally get started at around 5 oclock and can still be out at 10 oclock  , but its a beautiful place to spend your time ..
